Pro Publica - Over the past decade, state after state has been dismantling America’s workers’ comp system with disastrous consequences for many of the hundreds of thousands of people who suffer serious injuries at work each year, a ProPublica and NPR investigation has found.
The cutbacks have been so drastic in some places that they virtually guarantee injured workers will plummet into poverty. Workers often battle insurance companies for years to get the surgeries, prescriptions and basic help their doctors recommend.

Those who know history understand that many if not most social programs such as workers comp, social security, the forty hour work week and additional prohibition to child labor in the USA came about during the new deal era.
The new deal happened during the great depression which is also the era that about HALF THE WORD WENT TO COMMUNISM.
Of course we all know communism is bad-that in effect it is a single political party ran socialist republic, a sort of dictatorship. But it had a beneficial political force on the western republics during the cold war era time.
One can think that that the Republics of the west gave social rights out of the goodness of their kind hearts such as the new deal programs. Or one can think that the elites were forced to give social programs and rights to the unwashed masses because of stark terror of possibly losing the whole world to communism. What do you think? Do you know enough history to have a thought of any kind-those ignorant of history are doomed to relive it in a similar fashion.
Since today for some time communism is dead the western republics have been slowly unraveling to the natural condition of the real republic. That is third world and always at the edge of revolution. To be out of this average condition usually it takes special circumstances such as an outside political force like the cold war was on the western republics.
The elites have replaced the communist enemy with a terrorist enemy. This will only help ensure global third world chaos into the future.
Internet and cell phones have been a partial replacement of the positive cold war political force for the western republics but it is not enough to date. The stage is set for a hundred year + dark age at this moment in time.
To understand what is going read real history and understand it and know the forces of political economy. Political economy is often far more powerful than the simple supply and demand ideas of economy. For instance the western elites trying to crush Russia cause dramatically dropping of oil and fuel prices, supply and demand in reality means little, most everything is manipulated in the real world economy. There are oceans of oil under the ground, mankind will not live past it's total usage if most of it is burned for fuel.
